Overview
Context
I Fly Young CCE’s Digital Service Team operates like a design agency, partnering with external clients to deliver website and digital product solutions. Projects often required balancing client expectations, tight timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
My Role
I worked as a Product Designer while also taking on project management responsibilities, serving as the primary point of ownership from discovery through delivery.

The Challenge
Client projects varied widely in goals, maturity, and constraints. Common challenges included:
Ambiguous or evolving project scope
Misalignment between client expectations and technical feasibility
Tight delivery timelines for MVP launches
The objective was to deliver usable, brand-aligned websites while keeping teams aligned and projects on track.

Strategy & Execution
I approached each project with a product mindset, focusing on clarity, prioritization, and momentum.
Synthesized research into personas, journey maps, and clear problem statements
Defined project scope, milestones, and team priorities to maintain alignment
Translated strategy into high-fidelity designs using Figma, incorporating AI tools to efficiently produce supporting visual assets
Design decisions were reviewed iteratively with stakeholders to ensure usability, brand consistency, and feasibility before development handoff.

Cross-Functional Leadership
Beyond design execution, I actively supported delivery by:
Managing timelines and coordinating across design, development, and UX research
Facilitating alignment between internal teams and external clients
Creating a web services pitch deck to communicate design strategy, process, and value to prospective clients
This helped establish clearer expectations and improved confidence in the team’s delivery capabilities.

Impact
Launched client website MVPs on time
Improved usability and overall user satisfaction
Strengthened brand identity across client projects
Increased client interest through clearer service positioning and communication

Reflection
This work reinforced the value of designers taking ownership beyond interfaces. By combining product thinking with delivery management, I was able to guide teams through ambiguity, maintain momentum, and ensure that design decisions translated into real-world outcomes for clients.
